Raj Kumar Pittala is Currently pursuing a Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Texas. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology from Osmania University in 2023.
He is highly interested in the biomaterials and biopolymers field, with a background in Textile Technology and experience in medical textiles. He believes that Interdisciplinary fields like Biomedical Engineering help build a solid foundation and focus on developing cutting-edge technologies that significantly affect medical research and healthcare.
He is currently working on Shape Memory Polymers in biomedical applications and looking forward to researching the underlying mechanism of the plasticization-induced shape memory effect of thiol-ene-based polymers.
Outside of the research and classes, he likes traveling, photography, Hiking, cooking, and watching movies.
