Marc Anthony Torres is a Junior currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering – pursuing the biomechanics track – with minors in Mechanical and Energy Engineering as well as Math. He intends to obtain his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at the University of North Texas.
He goes above and beyond to distinguish himself as a detail-oriented and driven student in all aspects of his academic prowess; whether it be learning a concept, maintaining documents, or academically assisting peers, he always upholds phenomenal standards. He is thrilled to contribute his skills to the Ecker Lab.
Aside from academics, he is the President of the UNT BMES student organization, a member of both the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and a former violinist for the University of North Texas Concert Orchestra. He is keenly interested in playing the violin, is an avid reader, and finds solace in learning Spanish.
