Chandani Chitrakar is currently pursuing Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Texas. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2016.
She is highly interested in medical device design field. With the biomedical engineering background and her experience working for the company like Abbott, she believes that the interdisciplinary field such as biomedical/mechanical engineering can provide a solid academic foundation necessary in the medical device design field.
With several years of research experience, she was able to publish papers in several journals. In 2018, she was selected for the poster and oral presentation for BMES Annual Meeting 2018.
Besides researching and classes, she enjoys spending time with friends and watching movies.
